The International Orienteering Federation is pleased to invite you to the IOF
Event Adviser Seminar to be held online.
The seminar is organised as a part of the IOF FootO Commission’s development
tasks. The target groups are Senior Event Advisers and Event Advisers, but event
organisers, athletes, Federation officials, etc. are also welcome. The majority of
the presentations will focus primarily on general matters that applies to all types
of IOF Foot Orienteering events.
The programme will consist of four blocks:
1) Saturday 18th November 2023 09.00-10.20 CET: World Ranking Events:
Rule deviation requests, Key organisational issues, Principles of calculating
ranking points, Results upload for IOF Eventor
2) Saturday 18th November 2023 10:40-12.00 CET: Weather impact on
events, Rules changes for 2023 and Event sustainability
3) Sunday 19th November 2023 14:00-15:20 CET: Mapping
4) Sunday 19th November 2023 15:40-17:00 CET: Issues and solutions from
IOF High Level events in 2023
The seminar will be organised with presentations on Saturday morning and
Sunday afternoon (CET). Presentations will be followed with the opportunity to
ask questions afterwards. The presentations will be available through YouTube
afterwards, but the advantage of following the seminar online will be the ability
to ask questions directly from the presenters. Participation is free of charge.

Place: The seminar will be carried out in Microsoft Teams. A
link will be sent to all entrants.
Programme: The seminar will consist of presentations, with a
question and answers session after each presentation.
An updated programme will be sent to all confirmed
participants on 14th November.

Deadline for entries: Monday, 13th November 2023
HLES 2024: Please note that a face-to-face IOF High Level Event
Seminar (HLES), focusing on organising WOC and other
high level events is planned to be held on 3rd-4th
February 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. Arrival is
expected on Friday evening. More information will be
available in November 2023.
